Seeing PSG at the Parc des Princes from Zurich: the complete guide
Tickets, TGV Lyria, an overnight stay and getting to the stadium: a step-by-step guide for Zurich-based fans who want to see PSG play at the Parc des Princes.
Four hours on the TGV separate Zurich HB from Paris Gare de Lyon. For a PSG fan living in Switzerland, distance is not really the problem. The two hard parts are getting a ticket for a stadium filled almost entirely by season-ticket holders, and getting home after an evening kick-off, when the last direct train to Zurich leaves in the late afternoon. Here is how to plan the trip, step by step.
How long does it take to get from Zurich to the Parc des Princes?
TGV Lyria runs direct from Zurich HB to Paris Gare de Lyon in 4 h 04. As of mid-October 2026 there are six direct trains a day from Zurich, at 07:34, 09:34, 11:34, 13:34, 15:34 and 18:34. Standard-class tickets start from CHF 47 one way if you book early, and prices rise as the train fills up.
From Gare de Lyon, allow about 40 minutes on the metro: line 1 to Franklin D. Roosevelt, then line 9 (towards Pont de Sèvres) to Porte de Saint-Cloud, a five-minute walk from the ground. Line 10 (Porte d'Auteuil) also serves the stadium, on the Auteuil end. All in, plan for about five hours door to door.
How do you get a ticket for a match at the Parc?
The Parc des Princes holds around 48,000 people, and the vast majority are season-ticket holders. According to specialist guides, more than 99% of them renewed for 2026-27, and the club is not selling new season tickets. The remaining seats go on sale match by match, in waves, a few weeks before each game. To give yourself the best chance:
- Create a MyParis account on the club's official ticketing site. The free tier sends you a notification when sales open.
- Upgrade to MyParis Premium if you are targeting a specific game. Membership costs €19.90 per season (€9.90 from 1 January) and gives you the highest buying priority after season-ticket holders.
- Be logged in when sales open. For the big games, the remaining seats are gone within minutes.
- If it sells out, try TicketPlace, the club's official resale platform, where season-ticket holders put up the seats they won't use.
What budget should you plan for?
- Train: from CHF 47 each way in Standard class if you book early, much more at the last minute.
- Match ticket: the official price depends on the opponent and the seat category; Champions League nights are the most expensive.
- MyParis Premium: €19.90 per season, only worth it if you want priority.
- A night in Paris: unavoidable for a 9 pm kick-off. Staying near Gare de Lyon makes the morning train easy.
On match day: gates, security checks and banned items
Arrive early. On big nights the gates open about three hours before kick-off, and security takes time: a pat-down by stewards, sometimes a second one by the police, then the turnstiles. Guidance issued to visiting fans limits bags to A4 size and points out that there is no bag storage at the ground.
Banned items include glass or plastic bottles, cans, long umbrellas (small folding ones are fine), laser pointers, pyrotechnics and flagpoles. The rules can change from one match to the next, so check the club's instructions before you travel.
And away games? Como, the closest trip from Switzerland
This season's European schedule offers a rare opportunity. On 20 January 2027, PSG play in Como in matchday 7 of the Champions League league phase, at the lakeside Stadio Giuseppe Sinigaglia. From Zurich, Como is under three hours by train, through the Gotthard Base Tunnel via Lugano and Chiasso.
The stadium is small, and PSG allocate the away-end seats themselves, giving priority to their most loyal season-ticket holders. No sales details had been published by mid-October. The offers of several hundred euros already appearing on resale sites come neither from the club nor from UEFA.
